Let me repeat. What you’re doing NOW is what you’ll be doing when you reach your goals.

Yes, you may be able to lift heavier, faster, or complete more. Yet, you will still be doing burpees, still be doing deadlifts, still be running miles, and still mindfully examining your eating habits.

What you’re doing now is what you’ll be doing when you reach your goals. There’s no point in rushing, pushing yourself to injury or to exhaustion, or starving yourself until your hands shake.


Sustain your habits and take time to enjoy yourself. Play the long game. If you can’t sustainably do what you’re doing, then it’s probably not the right plan for you.
